Anywho, here's a few female artist that I think should get a play or two in your ear drums:
Tennille

Nicole Wray

Remember her from the Missy and Timberland Era? Her biggest hit was "Make it Hot" back in the day but she's still very much on the radar and has tons of tracks that have not gotten the most air play but are still a must listen tho! My most favorite tracks of hers is "I'm Looking" and "I Can't See." Her songs just say it all trust me...

Electrik Red

A risky girl group I must say...These ladies are an up and coming girl R&B group produced and influenced by The Dream. Despite their feminine looks, their music and lyrics are definitely on the edgy side and go against lovey dovey topics. Some of their tracks may sound a bit vulgar but I believe it captures the way that contemporary women embrace their sexual power and freedom. My favorite tracks are "So Good" [both original and remix] and "Friend Lover." Take a listen if curious...
BUTTTTT...now that i think about it...this group really shows how much males are influencing the R&B world ehhh watevs!
There's many more but that's what I'm currently into as of now...Come on R&B chicks step up ur game please!
